Film ini dibuat berdasarkan novel berjudul sama tahun 2001 yang ditulis Abidah El Khalieqy, penulis wanita asal Jombang, Jawa Timur. Novel tersebut diadaptasikan menjadi sebuah naskah film oleh Ginatri S. Noer dan Hanung Bramantyo. Film ini menyajikan latar tradisi sebuah sekolah pesantren di Jawa Timur yang cenderung mempraktikkan tradisi konservatif terhadap wanita dan kehidupan mode. Dialog film ini dibawakan dalam bahasa Indonesia, bahasa Jawa, dan juga terkadang bahasa Arab yang sering digunakan di sekolah pesantren.

Film ini berkisah mengenai perjalanan hidup Anissa (Revalina S. Temat), seorang wanita berkarakter cerdas, berani, dan berpendirian kuat. Anissa hidup dan dibesarkan dalam lingkungan dan tradisi Islam konservatif di keluarga Kyai yang mengelola sebuah pesantren kecil Salafiah putri Al-Huda di Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Dalam lingkungan dan tradisi konservatif tersebut, ilmu sejati dan benar hanyalah al-Qur’an, Hadits dan Sunnah, dan buku-buku mode dianggap sebagai ajaran menyimpang.

Dalam pesantren Salafiah putri Al-Huda diajarkan bagaimana menjadi seorang perempuan yang harus tunduk pada laki-laki, sehingga Anissa beranggapan bahwa ajaran Islam hanya membela laki-laki dan menempatkan perempuan dalam posisi sangat lemah dan tidak seimbang. Tapi protes Anissa selalu dianggap rengekan anak kecil. Hanya Khudori (Oka Antara), paman Anissa dari pihak Ibunya yang selalu menemani Anissa, menghibur sekaligus menyajikan ‘dunia’ yang lain bagi Anissa. Diam-diam Anissa menaruh hati pada Khudori. Tapi cinta itu tidak terbalas karena Khudori menyadari dirinya masih ada hubungan dekat dengan keluarga Kyai Hanan (Joshua Pandelaki), ayah Anissa, sekalipun bukan sedarah. Hal itu membuat Khudori selalu mencoba menghindari perasaannya pada Anissa. Sampai akhiya Khudori melanjutkan sekolah ke Kairo, Mesir. Secara diam-diam Anissa yang mendaftarkan kuliah ke Yogyakarta, Indonesia, dan diterima. Namun Kyai Hanan tidak mengizinkannya dengan alasan bisa menimbulkan fitnah, ketika seorang perempuan belum menikah berada sendirian jauh dari orang tua. Namun Anissa bersikeras dan protes kepada ayahnya.

Akhiya Anissa malah dinikahkan dengan Samsudin (Reza Rahadian), seorang anak Kyai dari pesantren Salaf besar di Jawa Timur. Sekalipun hati Anissa berontak, tapi peikahan itu dilangsungkan juga. Kenyataannya Samsudin yang berperangai kasar dan ringan tangan menikah lagi dengan Kalsum (Francine Roosenda). Harapan untuk menjadi perempuan muslimah yang mandiri bagi Anissa seketika runtuh. Dalam kiprahnya itu, Anissa dipertemukan lagi dengan Khudori dan keduanya masih sama-sama mencintai. Film kemudian menceritakan perjalanan cinta Anissa dan Khudori dan juga perjuangan Anissa untuk membela hak-hak perempuan muslim di tengan rintangan keluarga pesantrennya yang konservatif.

Estranged brothers Rahul (Fawad Afzal Khan) and Arjun Kapoor (Sidharth Malhotra) are compelled to retu to their childhood home in Coonoor when their 90-year-old grandfather Amarjeet (Rishi Kapoor) suffers a heart attack. Their parents, Harsh and Sunita Kapoor (Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak) also reside here. Rahul is a writer, who personifies the image of successful young man who appears to be the most mature person in the family. On the other hand, Arjun struggles to find a job he can stick with and resorts to running a website and works part-time as a bartender to make ends meet and writes in the meantime. Rahul is loved more by his parents for being successful. This doesn’t go well with Arjun. While the brothers struggle to get along, the parents, Harsh and Sunita Kapoor too are troubled with their own marriage. Harsh is discouraging of Sunita’s wish to open a catering business and Sunita brings up Harsh’s old affair which proves to be an existing problem in their relationship.

The brothers visit their grandfather Amarjeet, who is now placed in an ICU. To receive treatment, Amarjeet needs to be sent to Bangalore. When the issue of money arises, Harsh suggests to borrow money from his brother, which irks Sunita. When Arjun intervenes, Rahul belittles his presence and they fight. While living under one roof, family secrets unravel and misunderstandings are on the verge of tuing into tragedy. Amarjeet however does not want to go to Bangalore and has just two wishes. His first wish to be buried in an army burial with his old friends. His second wish is to take a family photo titled “Kapoor & Sons, Since 1921”.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Nick Frost and Sam Claflin reprising their roles, who are joined by Emily Blunt, Rob Brydon and Jessica Chastain. Principal photography began on April 6, 2015. The film was released on April 4, 2016 in the United Kingdom and is scheduled for release in the United States on April 22.

Long before her death, the evil sorceress, Queen Ravenna, leas that her younger sister Freya is engaged to the Duke of Blackwood and is pregnant. When Freya gives birth to a daughter, the Magic Mirror was Ravenna of dire consequences should the infant be harmed. Sometime later, Freya discovers that the Duke has murdered their child and, in a grief-fueled rage, kills him with her long-suppressed ice powers.

Freya abandons the kingdom and builds herself a solitary ice palace deep in the North, murdering anyone who opposes her while amassing an army of children and molding them into trained warriors whose hearts will be forever hardened. When Eric and Sara, two of her most formidable warriors, fall in love and plan to elope, Freya creates a wall of ice to separate them before forcing Eric to watch as Sara is killed by her fellow Huntsmen. Unbeknownst to Eric, Sara is not actually killed; Freya has conjured a vision of Sara dying in order to permanently harden his heart. Sara, meanwhile, watches a similar vision of Eric running away before being taken to the dungeons.

Eric, Nion and Gryff set out to discover the Magic Mirror. Upon their retreat, they are ambushed by another group of Huntsmen and rescued by Sara. The four set forth to find the mirror but are trapped by female dwarves Bromwyn and Doreena. Eric convinces Bromwyn to let them go, and Bromwyn tells them that the Goblins often hunt for valuable belongings and keep them near the Sanctuary, where no entrants ever retu. She and Bromwyn agree to follow Eric to retrieve the mirror. The group is ambushed by the Goblins but are able to get the mirror for transport to the Sanctuary. On the next day, Freya’s army has stolen the mirror, as she freezes Nion and Doreena and orders Sara to kill Eric. She deliberately shoots the arrow at his neck where he wears a necklace, seemingly killing him; Eric wakes up later and vows to face Freya in her icy kingdom.

The icy kingdom and the frozen people are eventually freed, while Eric and Sara, Bromwyn and Gryff, and Nion and Doreena express their love towards each other. The film ends with the bird spirit of the magic mirror flying above the icy kingdom.

Set against the backdrop of 1977 Los Angeles, The Nice Guys opens when single father and licensed PI Holland March (Gosling) is hired to investigate the apparent suicide of famous po star Misty Mountains. As the trail leads him to track down a girl named Amelia (Qualley), he encounters less licensed and less hands-off private eye Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe) and his brass knuckles, both hired by the young hippie. However, the situation takes a tu for the worse when Amelia vanishes and it becomes apparent that March wasn’t the only party interested. As both men are forced to team up, they’ll have to take on a world filled with eccentric goons, strippers dressed as mermaids and even a possible govement conspiracy.

In 1977 Los Angeles, a boy named Bobby (Ty Simpkins) witnesses fading po star Misty Mountains (Murielle Telio) die in a car crash. Later that week, down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) is approached by Mrs. Glenn (Lois Smith), the aunt of Mcisty Mountains who is obsessively claiming to have seen her niece alive. March is skeptical of her claim, but realizes that a missing girl named Amelia Kutner (Margaret Qualley) is somehow involved and accepts the job. However, Amelia does not wish to be found and hires enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) to intimidate March into staying away from her. Later that night, Healy is attacked at his home by two thugs known as Blue Face (Beau Knapp) and Older Guy (Keith David), who attempt to interrogate him about Amelia’s whereabouts. After stunning the duo, Healy manages to ward them off with a hidden shotgun. He then teams up with a reluctant March to find Amelia before the thugs do. The two are assisted by Holly (Angourie Rice), March’s young daughter, who does not see eye to eye in regards to March’s method of investigating, and is disapproving of her father’s method of swindling extra payments out of his clients and feigning good results to cover his failures.
